  • a "dependance" museum of the Bayerische Nationalmuseum, Munich; in the Marstall; contains 2200 courtly objects from estates of Erbprinz Johannes (1926-1990) Confusing setting: the Schloss has 3 museums, 2 of which are housed in the Marstall, a huge 3 winged building once home of the court stables: 1) the Thurn und Taxis-Museum, a branch of the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, is in the north wing of the Marstall. 2) the Fürst Thurn und Taxis Schlossmuseum is the Marstallmuseum of the princely family. 3) the Museum Kreuzgang, is in the former cloister of the former Benedictine abbey. (after secularization the Fürsten moved in). Belongs to the princely family of T und T.
