- The limit to the number of identicals produced by splitting is maximally 4 and efficiently 2. This procedure is commonly used in the cattle embryo transfer industry and results in a pregnancy rate nearly equivalent to the whole embryo with the number of offspring nearly doubled. (Source : INRA)
