  • Terborch's paintings in Amsterdam & Berlin have both been known as Paternal Admonition, although the subject is clearly a soldier visiting a prostitute & procuress. Amsterdam version now called Gallant Conversation; the Berlin version retains the title Paterman Admonition, q.v.; his 2 other works titled Gallant Conversation (or the Fiancé; in Louvre & Schwerin) look different.
