- Paper with a crinkled or puckered texture; creping consists of making small pleats or folds with a blade, a process which imparts stretch, strength, bulk, conformability, and texture similar to that found in fabrics; while there are many industrial and consumer uses for crepe paper, it is most commonly used for decorations [AAT]
