Définition
- Refers to the activity of taking photographs using cameras mounted on satellites orbiting the Earth or another planet. Its purpose is generally to observe ground features and activities from high orbits above the Earth, as for military reconnaissance, mapmaking, and monitoring weather phenomena. The cameras may also be focused on space [AAT, alt.]
