Definition
- Work that consists of lists of drugs or collections of recipes, formulas, and prescriptions for the compounding of medicinal preparations. A list of the drugs that satisfy the priority health care needs of the majority of a population. According to the World Health Organization, these drugs should be available at all times in adequate amounts and in appropriate dosage forms and quality, at a price the community can afford. A list of medications that are covered by a prescription drug insurance plan. A list of drugs permitted to be dispensed.
