Definition
- Types of artificial pacemakers with implantable leads to be placed at multiple intracardial sites. They are used to treat various cardiac conduction disturbances which interfere with the timing of contraction of the ventricles. They may or may not include defibrillating electrodes (IMPLANTABLE DEFIBRILLATORS) as well. Artificial pacemakers with implantable leads to be placed in the RIGHT ATRIUM and both HEART VENTRICLES. They are used to treat various cardiac conduction disturbances which interfere with the timing of contraction of the ventricles.
