Definition
- The restoration of the sequential order of contraction and relaxation of the HEART ATRIA and HEART VENTRICLES by atrio-biventricular pacing. Electrical stimulation of the heart by artificial pacemaker leads placed at sites in the RIGHT ATRIUM and both HEART VENTRICLES to treat various cardiac conduction disturbances which interfere with the timing of contraction of the ventricles.
