Definition
- The study of existing genetic knowledge, and the generation of new genetic data, to understand and thus avoid DRUG TOXICITY and adverse effects from toxic substances from the environment. The collection, interpretation and storage of information about gene and protein activity in order to identify toxic substances in the environment and those populations at greatest risk to environmental diseases.
