Definition
- A collective expression for all behavior patterns acquired and socially transmitted through symbols. Culture includes customs, traditions, and language. The process by which the dominant symbols, acts, or meanings of a society reinforce the perspective of a dominant group while making invisible, stereotyped, or marked as “other” the variations in symbols, acts, and meanings from culture to culture.in the perspectives of subordinate or targeted groups. This includes the presumed universality of the dominant group’s experience, culture, and religion.
