Definition
- A family of Central and South American plant-eating rodents comprising the agoutis (Dasyprocta) and acouchis (Myoprocta). They look similar to guinea pigs (CAVIA) but are larger and have longer legs. Their fur is reddish or dark brown. Genus of the family Dasyproctidae. Genus of the family Dasyproctidae.
