Definición
- The use of several ANESTHETICS together in small amounts, as opposed to a larger amount of one drug, to induce loss of sensation and loss of consciousness. A historical term for a method of anesthesia that used a combination of preanesthetic medication for sedation, local nerve blocking anesthetic at the surgical site, and NITROUS OXIDE inhalation anesthesia.
