Définition
- The use of a quartz crystal microbalance for measuring weights and forces in the micro- to nanogram range. It is used to study the chemical and mechanical properties of thin layers, such as polymer coatings and lipid membranes; and interactions between molecues. A piezoelectric mass-sensing devise sensitive in the nanomolar range.
