  • A gram-negative, obligate anaerobe of the family Cardiobacteriaceae. It has polar fimbriae and is the causative agent of FOOT ROT and DIGITAL DERMATITIS. It is the lone species in the genus Dichelobacter. Genus with single species DICHELOBACTER NODOSUS.
