Preferred term
CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 US
Definition
- CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 US is a nonfree license, as there are restrictions on charging money for copies. You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use. This license also lets others build upon the original work for non-commercial purposes, as long as they credit you and license their new creations under the identical terms. The GNU Project does not recommend that you use this license for documentation. In addition, it has a drawback for any sort of work: when a modified version has many authors, in practice getting permission for commercial use from all of them would become infeasible.
