This Astrophysics thesaurus comes from a vocabulary used for the indexing of bibliographic references from the Pascal database (https://pascal-francis.inist.fr/) until 2014, in the field of Astronomy.

This vocabulary reflects the content of indexed articles, including all aspects of Astronomy research including mathematical elements, interstellar chemistry and theoretical physics present in the articles.

The content of the thesaurus is updated regularly in order to reflect the state of the art of current knowledge in this area.

All definitions are given with their sources and the thesaurus has been aligned with Wikidata and the Unified Astronomy Thesaurus (https://astrothesaurus.org/).
