Definition
- At its simplest, murder is the illegally sanctioned termination of a human life by another person. While the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI's) Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program designates murder as the willful, nonnegligent killing of one human being by another, this does not include justifiable homicides, accidents, or deaths as a result of negligence.
