  • Indigenous and community conserved areas (ICCAs) are natural and/or modified ecosystems containing significant biodiversity values, ecological services, and cultural values. ICCAs are voluntarily conserved by indigenous peoples and local communities (both sedentary and mobile), through customary laws or other effective means.
