sexuality

Definition

  • Sexuality as a word was developed to describe a host of biological phenomena. It has also taken on a more specific meaning, indicating an individual's sexual proclivities or identity: “my sexuality.” More recently, however, it has been increasingly used to refer to the historical organization and cultural significance of erotic behavior.
