Definition
- Since the early European-natives encounters, two main groups were identified in the southernmost region of the archipelago of Tierra del Fuego. Those groups were the Yaganes, or Yámanas, in the region of the Beagle Channel and the Alakalufes, in the southwestern Chilean archipelagos (the Pacific Ocean end of the Strait of Magallanes).
