- Anthony (Tony) Bryan Hayward (1957–) was the chief executive officer (CEO) of British Petroleum (BP) at the time of the Deepwater Horizon explosion. A lifelong BP employee, Hayward was intensively mentored by his predecessor, Lord John Browne, who was forced to relinquish his position as CEO after a series of fatal accidents at BP facilities.
