Definition
- The Farmers Home Administration (FmHA) was a government agency created after the Great Depression to help rural families reestablish their farms and ranches and become self-sufficient through various financial tools. It also operated lending services for rural farm and nonfarm enterprises, including insurance for loans to meet housing and farm-related needs of rural families.
