HIV testing, counseling, and referrals

Many adolescents who engage in risky sexual behavior are putting themselves at risk for serious health problems including infection with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Contracting HIV can interrupt a student's academic progress; cause tremendous disruption to the student, the student's family, and the school; and perhaps even alter the student's entire life course.
