Adam Ferguson

- Adam Ferguson (1723–1816) was a prominent member of a circle of Scottish Enlightenment thinkers that included David Hume and Adam Smith. Born in the village of Logeirat, Perthshire, on the fringes of the Scottish highlands, he was the only highlander in the group.
