Definition
- Gender discrimination is exhibited when women and men are treated differently on the basis of perceived differences in ability, physical prowess, intellectual capacity, or proper societal and cultural roles. This differential treatment can be manifested in a wide variety of policy areas, such as the workplace, education, the criminal justice system, health care, and childcare.
