Definition
- Of all the technologies that came into general use during the latter half of the 20th century, few have had such a broad and fundamental impact on American society generally as computers. The widespread adoption and use of computer technology by the U.S. armed forces solved many challenging military problems and created opportunities for waging war more effectively and with less risk to human life.
