Christian reconstructionism

Definition

  • Christian Reconstructionism (CR) is an evangelical Christian Fundamentalist movement formed in the mid-20th century by Rousas John Rushdoony. The tenets of CR incorporate dominion theology, John Calvin's notion of total depravity, anti-statism, the inerrancy of the Bible, and theonomy (literally God's law).
