Definition
- Every child regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, socioeconomic status of the family, religion, culture, customs, and traditions is entitled to the fundamental human rights of safety and health. According to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, goal number four focuses on reducing child mortality; the world also calls for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
