colon cancer: lifestyle in prevention and treatment

Definition

  • The absolute number of new cancers and cancer deaths continues to increase in the United States despite the fact that cancer death rates in the United States are declining, and there is clear evidence that certain human behaviors or lifestyle factors play a role in these increases. As is the case with several other common cancers, diet and exercise are strongly linked to the risk of developing colon cancer and possibly to the risk of relapse.
