National Native American Law Enforcement Association
Definition
- The National Native American Law Enforcement Association (NNALEA) was founded in Washington, D.C., in 1993. The founders were Native American men and women from law enforcement organizations across the United States where, except for tribal and Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) law enforcement agencies, they typically comprised fewer than 1% of agency personnel.
