National Association for Multicultural Education
Definition
- The National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) was founded in 1990 as a professional association dedicated to the achievement of educational equity and social justice in the United States through multicultural education. Today, NAME membership includes PreK–12 educators, university faculty and administrators, students, community activists, and representatives from business in the United States, Canada, and more than a dozen other countries.
