Definition
- THE THIRD WAY IS A political philosophy most commonly associated with the work of Professor of Sociology Anthony Giddens, and given expression in office by Tony Blair's New Labour Party in the United Kingdom, Gerhard Schroeder's Social Democrats in Germany, and Bill Clinton's Democratic administration in the United States. In essence, it seeks to reinvigorate the center ground of politics free from extremist market-first policies on the right, and state control policies on the left.
