- THE NATIONAL CANCER Institute lists carcinomas of the urinary bladder under the list of unusual cancers of childhood, referring to its extreme rarity. Although bladder cancers are more common in men than in women, and in the age group of 50–70 years, no specific preponderances for age or sex are noted in children.
