Definition
- The application of developmental research to K–12 educational settings has led to a new understanding of how primary and secondary schools can best promote the academic and psychosocial development of children and adolescents. This entry will explore how the integration of these two disciplines has led to the development and implementation of a new model of schooling, the community school.
