- Diversity in healthcare management is important to the nation's healthcare system as a strategy to advance the effectiveness of healthcare organizations and help them achieve greater representation of underrepresented minorities in leadership, improve cultural competence, and decrease the ethnic and racial disparities that exist in the delivery of health services.
