- THE NATIONAL CHILDHOOD Cancer Foundation and the Children's Oncology Group form CureSearch, an organization with the mission to cure childhood cancer. CureSearch's slogan is “Collaboration, Compassion, Research … Life.” Research CureSearch recognizes that research is pivotal to its mission; thus, it maintains a large number of committees dedicated to research in many cancer fields, including cancers that are common in pediatric cancer patients, such as retinoblastoma and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
