Definition
- The work environment and the organization of work activities have important impacts on the health and well-being of workers. Although work can yield positive health effects by providing a living wage and other material benefits, as well as a personal sense of meaning and identity, the embodied nature of work activity means that workers are also vulnerable to a variety of harms.
