Definition
- The midlatitude grasslands are not easily defined. Most grasslands are areas of low relief and low rainfall, the combination of which protects them by reducing erosion disturbances that allows rapid invasion by trees and shrubs. [Source: Encyclopedia of Geography; Biome: Midlatitude Grassland]
