Preferred term

preschool

Definition

  • Preschools provide a wonderful setting in which children, aged 3, 4, or 5, can develop their talents and pursue their creativity. There are skills that need to be learned because future success in school is dependent upon them, but they pale in importance compared to the understandings that children need to acquire about the learning process and their role in it.
