Preferred term
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Definition
- Austrian composer Several artists have attracted the label genius, a term that is offered more as an apology for what is viewed as inexplicable rather than as an explanation for what is truly great. What is perhaps unique in the almost universal description of Mozart as a genius is the assumption that, among great artists, his was the most natural, unconstrained and, therefore, godlike genius.
