Definition
- Consultation is a method of providing preventively oriented psychoeducational services in which a consultant (e.g., school psychologist) and consultee (e.g., teacher) develop a cooperative partnership and engage in a systematic problem solving process. The goal is to enhance and empower consultee systems, so as to promote client (e.g., student) adjustment and academic performance.
