- IN THE LA Jolla neighborhood of San Diego, California, over two hundred biomedical and biopharmaceutical companies, along with several research institutions, make up the Golden Triangle. The Salk Institute for Biological Studies (SIBS) rests within this triangle, affording it the opportunity to collaborate with the adjacent institutions of the Moores University of California, San Diego, Cancer Center; the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center; the Burnham Institute for Cancer Research; and the Scripps Research Institute, along with its affiliated clinics and hospitals.
