green consumerism
Definition
- Green (or conscious) consumerism is both a philosophy and a movement that reconciles consumers' reflexive choices toward environmentally friendly and socially responsible commodities and profit motives of businesses. It is also part of the ecological modernization paradigm that advocates a reflexive modernity in which consumer behavior will ultimately move or drive capitalism toward a “green” one.
