  • Since the 1950s, the process of introducing information systems (IS) in large organizations has been marred by reports of persistent underperformance and failure. While it emerges that this is due, in no small part, to an inability to foster an integrated approach to change, it is unfortunate that much IS-related inquiry has failed to adequately address this dilemma.
