Definition
- The Sami are the Indigenous People of northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, and part of Russia. Although the Sami have historically been oppressed and exoticized by most races of the countries in which they live, the Sami have made great strides in gaining autonomy over decisions affecting their ways of life during the past century.
