chemical weapons

Definition

  • Chemical weapons involve the use of chemical agents and their toxic properties against military forces or specific populations during chemical warfare. Chemical agents used as weapons have been called “the poor man's atomic bomb,” primarily because chemical agents are easier to acquire than a nuclear weapon but can have devastating effects on their target population.
