special needs children
Definition
- Special needs children, or students with exceptionalities, describes all students who require special education and related services in order to develop their full potential. This definition further suggests that students receiving special education represent a subset of the general population of students and that they exhibit interindividual variation (i.e., developmental differences from one child to the next).
