- Ngandong is an archaeological site located on the High Terrace deposits near the Solo River in eastern Java, Indonesia, that includes remains of early Homo sapiens. Excavations of the site were conducted between 1931 and 1933 by Eugene Dubois. [Source: Encyclopedia of Anthropology; Ngandong]
