Definition
- The radical student group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) developed out of the Student League for Industrial Democracy, the youth arm of the League for Industrial Democracy, in 1960. It held its first meeting in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on the campus of the University of Michigan.
