boundaryless careers

Definition

  • Boundaryless careers are careers that unfold in more than one employment setting. The term is meant to provide a contrast to more-traditional career patterns (perhaps best referred to as organizational careers) in which an employee works for one employer for a significant portion of his or her career, moving from job to job within the same organization.
